Fat Angie is a little naive, a lot insecure and her mother says she is fat. She is also holding out hope that her sister is still alive and will be coming home again, but until then she will continue to be her own authentic self. She will also discover her strength and the ability to be loved. And maybe lose a few pounds, too.
A coming out story where the coming out is the least awkward part of a very awkward adolescence.
Genre: Contemporary, teen
Subjects: body image, bullies, dealing with death and/or illness, eating disorders, family relationships, friendship, self harm, teenage sexuality
