i have a dream

Last Wednesday our 4/5 classes celebrated the 50th anniversary of Dr. King’s most famous speech by listening to it in his own voice.

Kids aged 9-11 sat quietly and respectfully listening to the entire 16 minute speech. After a while they would clap along with the crowd that was there that day.  Social justice and equal rights for all humans are concepts that are not new to our school community  but the meaningful images helped to deepen our understanding.
