Lewis is a smart, sweet kid trying to decide who he is as a reservation Indian in a mostly white high school.

He finds a new friend with a shared love of music in a kid from the local military base. Lewis and George have to decide how to over come the bully who has targeted Lewis while the possibility that George’s Air Force dad might be moved to another base at any time lurks in the background. The descriptions of life and culture on the reservation show a community that is recovering its self after forced residential schools and government programs tried to erase it.
