We just finished re-reading this classic out loud together.

Whenever I would read this to my youngest I knew that I could expect anyone else in the family who was within earshot to stop what they were doing and listen. Seriously, they just couldn’t help it.

Our family really enjoys reading books and watching the movies made from them. The discussions we have had are great. The details the kids pick up on and their insight into possible reasons why the movie was different amaze me every time. We will be watching the first two Hobbit movies together this summer and eagerly awaiting the 3rd installment in December.

We might even read it together a third time.
