I hope this message finds you well and you are enjoying Summer! I am writing to let you all know that we are looking for amazing humans to join our OC staff! We are hiring one special education paraprofessional to work with Liz and the Uppers students and three paraprofessionals to work with grades Kindergarten through 5th.

Paraprofessional II (SPED) (special education classroom with Liz)
Pay: $18.75/hr
Part-Time 29.5 hours/week
Minimum Required Qualifications:
All positions require selected candidates to be fingerprinted and successfully pass a criminal background check. Additional minimum required qualifications for this position are:
- High school diploma or a recognized equivalent
- Per Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA), interested applicants must be Highly Qualified to be considered for the position and have completed one of the following:

- completed at least two years at an accredited higher education institution (minimum 48 semester hours), or
- obtained an associates (or higher) degree from an accredited higher education institution, or
- satisfied a rigorous state or local assessment (Parapro Assessment/PRAXIS ETS) with a score of 460 or higher
The higher education institution official transcripts, or college diploma, or a copy of the Paraprofessional Assessment must be provided with your application or upon a contingent offer of employment
- Effective communication skills with both children and adults, including speaking, reading, writing, and understanding English; proficiency in grammar and punctuation
- Ability to perform basic math, including calculations using fractions, percentages, and ratios
- Ability to use basic office equipment (e.g., phone, copier, fax, etc.) and Microsoft Office
Paraprofessional I (general education classrooms with teachers)
Pay: $18.25/hr
Part-Time: 29.5 hours/week
Minimum Required Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent
